The Town of Champion transfer site is open on Friday from 8:00am – 4:00pm and on Saturday from 8:00am – 2:00pm. The site accepts trash in clear bags at a cost of $3.00/bag and separated recyclables at no charge. $12/$24 punch cards may be purchased from either the Town Clerk’s office or at the transfer site. Please note that the Transfer Site manager can only accept checks/money orders.
The NYS Electronic Equipment Recyling & Reuse Act requires manufacturers to provide free and convenient recycling of covered electronic waste.
Covered electronic equipment will be accepted at no cost to the consumer during normal business hours at the transfer site.

Computers (includes cables and cords), keyboards, Mice,
Printers, Small scale servers, Scanners, Fax Machines
Televisions, VCRs, DVRs, DVD players, Digital Converter boxes, Cable/Satellite Receivers
Electronic or Video Game Consoles

From Hamlet of Champion – from NYS Route 126 turn onto County Route 47, past Town Highway Barn. At the intersection, bear right and continue on County Route 47. Take the first left on to the Whitaker Road. At the end of Whitaker Road, take a right on to Card Road. The transfer site is approximately 1/4 mile from the turn, directly across the road from the Waste Management facility.
From Hamlet of Great Bend – heading south on NYS Route 26 turn right onto County Route 47, after the Great Bend firehouse. Proceed on County Route 47, turn right on to Pennock Road. At the intersection of Pennock Road and County Route 143, go straight to Taylor Road. At the end of Taylor Road, take a right on to Whitaker Road. At the end of Whitaker Road, take a right on to Card Road. The transfer site is approximately 1/4 mile from the turn, directly across the road from the Waste Management facility.
